Hey everyone! I’m sorry in advance that this post is going to be short in comparison to usual.. I don’t know about y’all, but I was not too impressed with the cozy games coming out next month because there aren’t many coming out to begin with and only two really caught my eye. However, if you’re a big fan of cooking games, I’m happy to say that April will still be a good cozy game month for you!
Kitchen Sync: Aloha!
Since I am originally from Hawai’i, this single-player cozy game is by far the one that I am most excited for next month. Kitchen Sync: Aloha! is set on the island of Maikai (not a real island btw) where you run a pop-up for your family’s restaurant. You’ll set up your pop-up restaurant that is customizable all over the island: right on the beach, on the dock, and in a park just to name a few. This not only allows you to expand your customer base, but it also allows you to create relationships and even romantic ones throughout the island.
The best part about this cozy game for me is that a lot of the dishes that you can cook are ones that I still cook to this day such as spam musubis, mac salad, and loco mocos. Since I am so familiar with these dishes, I really hope that the developers have done the locals in Hawai’i justice. One thing that I can say for certain is that this game is already making me miss home!

Magic Inn
Magic Inn is another cooking game that will be coming out in early access next month that includes management and most importantly, a hint of magic. Your goal in this single-player cozy game is to become a 5-star inn, so you’ll have to successfully manage both a restaurant and lodging. You’ll be in charge of hiring someone to be the head chef or you can take a stab at cooking yourself, managing the menu, building relationships with your suppliers and staff, and decorating the rooms in your inn.
Another key aspect of Magic Inn is building relationships with your guests, even ones that aren’t exactly alive any more. Providing white glove service to every guest you meet could provide you with very important connections and even rewards! Plus, just like some food critics in real life, the judges who rate the inn disguise themselves as normal guests. Therefore, it’s important to provide 5-star service to every guest you meet!
